OntoMate is an ontology-driven, concept-based literature search engine that was originally developed by RGD as an alternative for the basic PubMed search engine (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed) in the gene curation workflow. OntoMate tags abstracts with gene names, gene mutations, organism names and terms from the ontologies/vocabularies used at RGD.
